Drying filament can help its printability, bed-adhesion, and lessen stringing. Some filaments need drying more than others. PLA can perform better with drying, while PETG will be a stringy mess without it.

• A regular food dehydrator - BUT NOTE: DO NOT EVER USE IT FOR FOOD AGAIN. IF YOU WANT TO GO THIS ROUTE, BUY A FILAMENT-ONLY FOOD DEHYDRATOR! This is a link to a printable design to make round food dehydrator trays tall enough to fit one or two spools of filament per tray. They can be easily modified to fit other sizes, but the default food dehydrator they fit (Elite Gourmet EFD319) is fairly cheap.
