Filament Dryer Recommendations

Drying filament can help its printability, bed-adhesion, and lessen stringing. Some filaments need drying more than others. PLA can perform better with drying, while PETG will be a stringy mess without it.

MyTechFun has a page with several filament dryers they've tested and collected data for: https://mytechfun.com/filament-dryers

If you need a filament dryer, check out the links below:

  • Bambu Labs - If you have a Bambu Labs printer, the AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT may be your best bet for features, availability, and compatibility:
  • SUNLU Filament Dryer S2
  • A regular food dehydrator - BUT NOTE: DO NOT EVER USE IT FOR FOOD AGAIN. IF YOU WANT TO GO THIS ROUTE, BUY A FILAMENT-ONLY FOOD DEHYDRATOR!
